Designed around the car, not just made to fit underneath it

This isn't just a flat sheet of aluminium. The 3-piece design follows the MK8/MK8.5 R underbody, uses factory mounting points and retains the original cooling duct locations. Airflow has been considered. Service access has been considered. Fitment has been considered. Even the oil drain has its own dedicated access door. Built to protect the car without getting in the way of how Volkswagen designed it to work.

The nitty gritty details

3mm Aluminium Construction
Strong, rigid and lightweight. Built to take impacts and road debris that the factory plastic undertray simply wasn't designed for.

Three-Piece Design
A centre bash plate and two wing sections follow the MK8/MK8.5 underbody profile, extending protection across the underside of the vehicle. We did this intentionally to make installation as easy as possible.

Factory Cooling Ducts Retained
The original cooling duct locations remain functional, maintaining Volkswagen's intended airflow to the drivetrain and surrounding components.

Airflow Considered
Rather than fitting a flat sheet beneath the engine, the plate follows the factory underbody profile to help maintain clean airflow and minimise unnecessary turbulence.

Built-In Oil Service Door
A dedicated removable access panel allows routine oil servicing without removing the entire bash plate.

Factory Mounting Points
Designed to utilise existing mounting locations. No unnecessary drilling or permanent modifications.

Protection Where It Matters
Adds a substantial aluminium barrier beneath the sump and surrounding components. Protecting your MK8/MK8.5 R from loose rocks, broken asphalt, debris, potholes and steep driveways. 

In addition: Bash plates have two different surface finishes due to the aluminium manufacturing process. The shiny, finished side is designed to face downward and remain visible once installed, while the raw side faces upward and is not visible. This occurs because only one side contacts polished rollers during production. Minor marking on the raw side from cutting supports and deburring is normal and does not affect strength or performance.
